By hard anodizing the aluminum it forms a kind of 'exoskeleton' or shell. This encapsulates the aluminum, so there’s no risk of the alloy leaching into food. Its traditional size and shape also brings a little bit of home with you wherever you need it.

Frequently Asked questions
Can these utensils be sterilized with bleach?
Yes. Bleach will not damage the anodized surface of the Alpha cutlery. Please use bleach in moderation in the backcountry – it kills ‘good’ bacteria as well as harmful bacteria.

Can these utensils be used with non-stick frying pan and pot finishes?
No, the hard edges of the cutlery will damage either a PTFE (Teflon) or a ceramic coating. Nylon cooking utensils are preferable.
Are they dishwasher-safe?
No. The caustic cleanser used in dishwashers will damage the anodized finish of Alpha cutlery.
